Year of death: Suiko 11 (603) Year of birth: Unknown Daughter of Emperor Yomei and Princess Anahobe no Omihito. Younger brother of Prince Umayado (Prince Shotoku). In the 10th year of the reign of Empress Suiko (602), he became the "General of the Attack of Silla" and led the various deities, kuni no miyatsuko, and tomo no miyatsuko in Shima District, Tsukushi (northern Itoshima District, Fukuoka Prefecture), but fell ill and died there in February of the following year. His funeral was held in Saha, Suo (Hofu City), and he was later buried at Hanyuyama, Kawachi (Habikino City). After his death, his half-brother Prince Taima became shogun in his place, but he was unable to fulfill his duties due to the death of his wife. The above is an article from the "Nihon Shoki," but it is also a good historical document that shows that a member of the royal family in the 7th century was involved in diplomacy (military affairs).
