A legendary hermit. During the Tenpyo era, he studied flying at Ryumon-ji Temple in Yoshino County, Yamato Province, but when he saw a woman washing clothes in the Yoshino River, he became greedy, lost his spiritual powers, and crashed. Later, when the capital was moved to Takaichi, he purified himself and regained his spiritual powers. He was granted 30 cho of land by the emperor for carrying a huge piece of lumber, and founded Kumedera Temple.
