　劇作家の飯いい沢ざわ匡ただすは、近藤真まさ彦ひこさんの歌った「ギンギラギンにさりげなく」を「二律背反が流は行やってる」と評しました。たしかに、二つの形容は両立しません。
　作家で同時通訳者の米よね原はら万ま里りは、先輩通訳者の「物事に絶対なんてことは絶対にないんだからね」という発言を「二律背反の見本」と紹介しています。この意味では、英語の「ネバー・セイ・ネバー」（＝「決して」とは決して言うな）も二律背反の慣用句と言えそうです。
