わたし‐もの【渡物】

〘名〙① 雅楽で、曲の本来の調を変じて他の調に移しかえたもの。壱越調の賀殿の破・急が双調の賀殿の破・急に、また越天楽の調が平調・黄鐘調・盤渉調にあるなどが一例。〔教訓抄(1233)〕② 親から子、子から孫へと譲り渡していく物。※江談抄(1111頃)三「和琴は鈴鹿、是累代帝王渡物也」③ 外国から渡ってきた物。渡来品。わたりもの。※恋慕ながし(1898)〈小栗風葉〉四「オルガンだの、唱歌だのと謂うて、皆西洋の渡物(ワタシモノ)だから恐しからう」
