The first emperor of the Qing Dynasty in China. His temple title was Taizu. He reigned from 1616 to 1626. His surname was Aisin Gioro (Aisin Gioro). Born into an aristocratic family of the Jianzhou Jurchen people, he married into another family at the age of 19, but in 1583, when his grandfather and father were killed by the Ming army, he attempted to restore his family's fortunes. Nurhaci first killed his fellow tribesman Nikan Weilan, who had caused the deaths of his grandfather and father, and then embarked on the project of unifying the Jurchen people. After having almost completely pacified the Jianzhou Jurchen people, in 87 he built Feala City (now the old city of Xinbin County, Liaoning Province) on the banks of the Suzi River as his first residence.

中国，清朝の初代皇帝。廟号は太祖。在位1616‐26年。姓はアイシンギョロ(愛新覚羅)。建州女真族の貴族の家庭に生まれ，19歳のとき他家へ婿入りしたが，1583年，祖父と父が明軍に殺されたのを契機に実家の再興をはかった。ヌルハチはまず祖父と父を死に至らしめた張本人である同族のニカンワイランを討って仇に報いてから，女真族の統一事業に乗り出した。建州女真族をほぼ平定し終わったのち，87年蘇子河畔に最初の居城としてフェアラ城(現，遼寧省新賓県旧老城)を築いた。
