The eldest son of Genghis Khan, a Mongolian military commander. He assisted his father in the subjugation of the Tatar Naiman and Jin, and made a great contribution to the conquest of the Oirats. After participating in the Khwarezmian campaign in 1219, he managed the Kyrgyz steppe alone, and his fiefdom was inherited by his second son, Batu, and became the territory of the Kipchak Khanate.
