...His real name was Shozo. He became interested in haiku while studying at Waseda University, and when Hino Sojo's "Shikan" was launched in 1935, he published works such as "Autumn Wind Under the Guinea Fowl" in the magazine. Kakio expressed the depressed feelings of youth using terms common in modern poetry, and was considered a promising young poet of the time, who aimed to express the emotions of his time.
