A town in Yubari County, Hokkaido. The central settlement is located on the lowlands on the left bank of the Yubari River, where the Muroran Main Line runs. The lowlands along the river produce rice paddies, while the plateau produces wheat, potatoes, and other crops. There are dairy factories and other facilities. Area: 133.74 km2 .
