sobor

...It refers to the theological ideas seen in Russian religious thinkers such as Khomyakov and Berdyaev in the 19th century, but also goes beyond the framework of theology to refer to the ideas that were considered to be a characteristic of Russian nationality that distinguished Russia from Western Europe. The word is derived from the Russian word sobor (gathering). According to Khomyakov, sobornost, like the Greek word koinōnia (fellowship, common spirit), means a free association or communal unity between people connected with Christ, and its prototype can be seen in the fellowship of believers in the early church (Acts 2-42).
