[The cow as a symbol]
The following theory by Eduard Hahn, who discussed the origins of domestication from a folkloristic perspective, was once popular: For example, in ancient Egypt there was a cow called the Apis cow (Figure 2). It was a sacred cow that was kept for a certain period of time in the temple of Hathor in Memphis and became an object of worship for the people as a sacred cow.
