Born February 28, 1882. Inspired by the works of H. Ellis, he pursued sexual issues scientifically, and in 1913 published the first volume of "Ogura Seizaburo Research Report of the First Sotokai Union." He presided over Japan's first sexuality research group, the Sotokai. Members included Tsubouchi Shoyo, Akutagawa Ryunosuke, Hiratsuka Raicho, and Osugi Sakae. He passed away January 14, 1941, at the age of 60. He was from Fukushima Prefecture. He graduated from Tokyo Imperial University. His other works include "The Explosion of Thought."
