An old town in Ogi County, central Saga Prefecture. The northern half is in the Sefuri Mountains, and the southern half is part of the Saga Plain. The town is a former castle town of the Nabeshima branch feudal domain, and the Karatsu Line runs through it. Brewing is carried out here, and Ogi Yokan is a specialty. Rice is grown on the plains, and mandarin oranges are cultivated at the foot of the mountains. In March 2005, it merged with Mikazuki Town, Ushizu Town, and Ashikari Town in Ogi County to become a city, Ogi City. 45.39 km2 . Population: 17,916 (2003). 佐賀県中部，小城郡の旧町。北半は脊振(せふり)山地，南半は佐賀平野の一部。中心は鍋島支藩の旧城下町で唐津線が通じる。醸造が行われ，小城ようかんを特産。平野では米作，山麓ではミカン栽培が盛ん。2005年３月小城郡三日月町，牛津町，芦刈町と合併し市制，小城市となる。45.39km2。１万7916人（2003）。
