A prosperity record of Lin'an (Hangzhou), the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, China. 20 volumes. Written by Wu Zimu. There are several records of the prosperity of Hangzhou during the Song Dynasty, such as the Wulin Jiushi (Zhou Mi, 10 volumes), but this is the most detailed and is a valuable historical source for understanding urban life in the Southern Song Dynasty. The author was from the end of the Song Dynasty or the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, and was not necessarily an educated person. The title "liang" means good quality millet, a delicacy, and contains a feeling of dreaming of the prosperity of the past. The story is based mainly on the "Xianchun Lin'an Chronicles" and follows the style of the "Tokyo Dreaming Records," but the writing is poor and difficult to read.
