Yuwa [town] - Yuwa
A former town in Kawabe County in the mid-west of Akita Prefecture. It borders Akita City to the south, and the Omono River meanders through the center of the town. Most of the cultivated land is paddy fields, and rice is the main crop. Lumber and confectionery are also involved. Akita Airport opened in 1981. In January 2005, it was incorporated into Kawabe Town, Kawabe County, and Akita City. 144.51 km2 . Population: 8,142 (2003).

秋田県中西部，河辺(かわべ)郡の旧町。秋田市の南に接し，町域の中央を雄物(おもの)川が蛇行(だこう)して流れる。耕地の大部分が水田で，米作を主とする。製材業，製菓業も行う。1981年秋田空港が開港した。2005年１月河辺郡河辺町と秋田市へ編入。144.51km2。8142人（2003）。
