A general term for the Lagomorpha and Leporidae. They resemble rodents, but have two pairs of incisors on the upper jaw, and are considered to be of a different lineage. However, in Australia, rabbits that were introduced in the early 19th century have become wild. They live in almost all environments, including deserts, grasslands, forests, high mountains, and tundra. They are herbivorous and excrete two types of feces. They eat the dark green, creamy soft feces by putting it directly into their mouth through their anus. This is an easily digestible form of food and is rich in vitamin B and protein.
