A general term for the Lagomorpha and Leporidae. They resemble rodents, but have two pairs of incisors on the upper jaw, and are considered to be of a different lineage. They have short tails and long hind legs, which are suitable for jumping, and many have long ears. They are found all over the world except Australia and Madagascar. However, in Australia, rabbits that were introduced in the early 19th century have become wild. They live in almost all environments, including deserts, grasslands, forests, high mountains, and tundra. They are herbivorous and excrete two types of feces. They eat the dark green, creamy soft feces by putting it directly into their mouth through their anus. This is an easily digestible form of food and is rich in vitamin B and protein. There are many types, and they are usually divided into hares such as mountain hares, hares, and jackrabbits, and rabbits such as Amami rabbits and European rabbits. Domestic rabbits are domesticated rabbits, and there are many varieties. Meat breeds include the Belgian, Californian, and New Zealand White, fur breeds include the Angora, and fur breeds include the Chinchilla and Rex. The Japanese White is a breed used for both fur and meat. Pet breeds include the English, Dutch, and Himalayan. Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
