Modelled on the German Juristen Zeitung, this is Japan's leading legal magazine, first published in December 1929. It is a monthly publication, published by Nippon Hyoronsha under the direction of Suehiro Gentaro. Its editorial policy is based on three points: commentary and critique of current legal issues, collection and introduction of materials necessary for legal research, and opinions on law by non-experts, as well as other articles, and this policy remains in place to this day. A similar magazine is Jurist, published by Yuhikaku (first published in 1952). [Shimizu Hideo] Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
