The main peak of the Suzuka Mountains on the border between Shiga and Mie prefectures. Located in the northern part of the mountain range. Elevation 1,247m. The summit is a flat-topped peak thought to be a relic of an uplifted peneplain, covered with shrubs and bamboo grass. There are waterless dolines as well as ponds such as Maruike and Manoike. The mountain's name comes from these ponds. It belongs to Suzuka Quasi-National Park. 滋賀・三重県境にある鈴鹿山脈中の主峰。同山脈北部に位置。標高 1247m。山頂部は隆起準平原の遺物とみられる平頂峰で,灌木やクマザサでおおわれ,水のないドリーネのほか丸池,真ノ池などの池がある。山名はこれらの池に由来。鈴鹿国定公園に属する。
