Junior Vanguard Corps (English: Shào nián xiān fēng duì)

Japanese: 少年先鋒隊 - しょうねんせんぽうたい（英語表記）Shào nián xiān fēng duì

A unified youth group organization in China, modeled after the Soviet Pioneers. Placed under the guidance of the Communist Youth League, children between the ages of 7 and 14 are selected for their academic ability, good behavior, and ideology. Members are considered successors to the construction of communism, and are expected to wear red neckerchiefs tied like neckties and to always be role models for others.
