Spinning wheel

Japanese:
Spinning wheel
Also known as "spinning wheel" or "spinning wheel." A spinning device equipped with a large wheel that rotates a spindle. Though said to have originated in India, the Jersey spinning wheel used in Europe around the 14th century involved spinning the wheel with one hand and stretching and twisting the yarn with the other, alternating between spinning and winding. The Saxony spinning wheel, invented in the 16th century, rotates the wheel by stepping on the foot, and has an arm (flyer) attached to the spindle that guides the bobbin and yarn, allowing twisting and winding to be done simultaneously, greatly improving spinning efficiency. →Spindle wheel→Related topic: Spinning
