〘名〙① 破魔弓①につがえて放つ矢。今は正月の縁起物としている。はまつや。《季・新年》※毛利家文書‐（年未詳）（1565頃）一二月二九日・毛利輝元書状「御はま矢共、何方へも御遣候はは、進上可_レ申候」② 棟上式のとき、破魔弓②とともに屋上に飾る、檜で作った二本の矢の形をしたもの。鏑矢を上に向け、雁股矢を下に向ける。※匠家故実録（1803）中「上棟之例式〈略〉破魔弓・破魔矢之作格」
