The play Ryutomisu Takane Unkiri, adapted by Sakurada Jisuke III and Kawatake Mokuami, premiered at the Moritaza Theater in 1861 (Bunkyu 1), and the part written by Mokuami was later performed independently as Imashimegusa Susukino no Zarashi (Inga Kozo). ...

…天保期(1830‐44)になってから，講釈にしくまれてその活躍が《大岡政談》の題材となった。天保期の直接交渉のない6人をあつめてひとつのはなしに仕立てた《天保六花撰》と同様の趣向といってよく，《雲霧五人男》には，《享保五人男》なる異題もある。3世桜田治助，河竹黙阿弥などによって脚色された《竜三升（りゆうとみます）高根雲霧》は，1861年(文久1)守田座で初演され，のち黙阿弥の書いた部分が《誡草芒野晒（いましめぐさすすきののざらし）》(因果小僧)として独立して上演されるようになった。…
