Voroshirov

…A city in Primorsky Krai, eastern Russia. Population 162,000 (1993). 112 km north of Vladivostok, it is the junction of the Trans-Siberian Railway and the railway to Mudanjiang and Harbin, and faces the Suykhun River. There are oil and fat, sugar, flour and meat processing plants, machinery manufacturing, locomotive repair factories, agricultural and educational universities, and a railway technical college. Founded in 1866, it was formerly called Nikol'sk until 1898, Nikol'sk Ussuriiskii until 1935, and Voroshilov until 1957. …
