Sisupalgarh

...The name appears in ancient documents, and it is famous for the incident in which Ashoka conquered the country, regretted the misery of the war, and converted it into a government based on Dharma (law). The center of this region is thought to be Sisupalgarh, an eastern suburb of Bhubaneshwar, where ruins from the 3rd century BC to the 4th century AD can be found, and in the 3rd century BC a city surrounded by a fort with a circumference of 1 km was built. In the 1st century BC, King Khāravela appeared, and after conquering the south, he advanced into the Ganges basin and became a major power.
