Farmers' and Labor Party

Japanese: 農民労働党 - のうみんろうどうとう

A Japanese political party. One of the proletarian parties formed on December 1, 1925. It began when the Political Research Association, the Japan Farmers' Union, and other groups formed the previous year proposed the formation of a single national proletarian political party preparatory committee to labor organizations with more than 1,000 members. The founding ceremony was held at the Tokyo Young Men's Christian Hall, and officers including Secretary General Asanuma Inejiro were elected, but the party was banned from associating because its platform for action was based on communist principles, and it was dissolved just three hours later.

日本の政党。 1925年 12月1日結成された無産政党の1つ。前年結成された政治研究会，日本農民組合などが 1000名以上の労働団体に対し，単一の全国無産政党組織準備会の提唱を行なったのが始りである。結成式は東京キリスト教青年会館で行われ，書記長浅沼稲次郎ら役員を選出したが，その行動綱領の背後に共産主義的原則綱領があるという理由で結社禁止令を受け，わずか3時間後に解散させられた。
