This land was provided to the people under the equal-field system in the Middle Ages of China and was allowed to be inherited, and continued until the latter half of the 8th century. During the Northern Wei Dynasty, it was called mulberry land (where mulberries, jujubes, and elms were planted), and 20 mu (about 1 ha) were provided to Ding men (15-69 years old), but during the Tang Dynasty, 20 mu were provided to Ding and Zhong men (approximately 18-59 years old, although this differed depending on the era). 中国中古の均田法によって人民に支給され，相続を認められた土地で，８世紀後半まで続いた。北魏のころは桑田（クワ，ナツメ，ニレを植える）と呼ばれ，丁男（15〜69歳）に20畝（約1ha）給されたが，唐代には丁男・中男（時代により異なるが，ほぼ18〜59歳）に20畝給された。
