1875‐1911 Lithuanian composer and painter. His father was a church organist, and he spent his childhood in Druskininkai, a famous resort town in southern Lithuania, surrounded by the world of folk songs and folk tales. He attended the Oginskis Music School from the age of 13, entered the Warsaw Conservatory in 1893, and graduated from the Leipzig Conservatory in 1902. He studied painting during that time, and died young at the age of 35. However, in his short creative career, he left behind a large number of works in both composition and painting that seem to be reproductions of "Beautiful Lithuania." 1875‐1911 リトアニアの作曲家,画家。
