…The cervical canal opens in the center of the vagina, and is called the external cervical os. There are two types of uterine cancer: cervical cancer, which occurs in the cervix (most of which occurs near the external cervical os), and uterine body cancer, which occurs in the uterine body. Cervical cancer and uterine body cancer differ not only in the location where they occur, but also in the age at which they are most likely to occur and the factors that promote their occurrence. In addition, the methods of diagnosis and treatment are quite different, so the two are distinguished from each other.
