Japanese: 成羽[町] - なりわ

An old town in Kawakami District, western Okayama Prefecture. It occupies the basin of the Nariwa River, a tributary of the Takahashi River. The main settlement, Nariwa, flourished as a jin'ya (camp house), post town, and the end point of the Takasebune (boat) upstream journey. The town is involved in agriculture, forestry, and tatami thread manufacturing. Fukiya in the north was once a mining settlement for the Yoshioka Copper Mine, and rows of old houses remain, making it a national preservation district for groups of traditional buildings. It is also famous as a source of Triassic fossils. In October 2004, it was incorporated into Takahashi City along with Arikan Town in Kamibo District, Kawakami Town in Kawakami District, and Bitchu Town. ^{81.87 km2} . 5,804 people (2003).
