Records of the Sengoku period. 37 original volumes. This is the diary of Gon Dainagon Yamashina Tokitsugu, and the articles cover the period from 1527 to 1576 (Taei 7 to Tensho 4). The Yamashina family hereditarily held the position of Kuraryo no Kami and also served as the head of the Gakusho and Gofukusho, so the articles are rich in information about the imperial economy, court etiquette, and clothing. The Yamashina family was also highly trusted by both Emperor Gonara and Emperor Ogimachi, and the records of his intermediation between the Sengoku daimyo, such as the Imagawa clan, the Tokugawa clan, and the Kitabatake clan, to procure offerings are valuable. He also practiced medicine as a side job, providing medical treatment not only to the courtiers (nobles) but also to commoners, and so the book contains detailed records of the activities of the townspeople and citizens of Kyoto, and not just records the relationship between the Imperial Court and the samurai, but also vividly depicts the true nature of town self-governance in Kyoto during the Warring States period, and the self-defense and self-punishment practices of the townspeople, making it one of the most important historical documents of the Warring States period. There are several published versions.
