The diary of Yamashina Mototsune. Spanning the years 1576 (Tensho 4) - 1608 (Keicho 13), four years are missing. Thirty-five handwritten volumes remain and are held by the Historiographical Institute of the University of Tokyo. Mototsune was subjected to imperial pardon in 1585 and fled Kyoto, living in Izumi and Settsu for over five years. Although he was a nobleman, he made his living as a doctor in the townspeople's society, customs, annual events, and more. Included in the "Dai Nihon Kokiroku."
