A former town in Tohaku County in central Tottori Prefecture. It occupies the upper reaches of the Ogamo River. In the center of the town, Sekigane, is the Sekigane Hot Spring, which is said to have been discovered during the Yoro era. It is also called Yunoseki and was a popular hot spring resort. It was also a post town on the Sakushu Kaido road leading to the Hiruzen Basin. Forestry, Japanese beef cattle breeding, and wasabi cultivation are carried out here. Sekigane Hot Spring is a radioactive spring with a temperature of 40-60°C. It is said to have been discovered during the Yoro era and has been famous since ancient times as Shirogane no Yu. It is also the tourist base for Hiruzen in Daisen-Oki National Park. Incorporated into Kurayoshi City in March 2005. 97.65 km2 . 4,323 people (2003). 鳥取県中部,東伯(とうはく)郡の旧町。小鴨(おがも)川上流域を占める。中心の関金には養老年間の発見という関金温泉があり,湯関(ゆのせき)ともよばれ湯治場としてにぎわった。また,蒜山(ひるぜん)盆地へ通じる作州街道の宿場町であった。林業,和牛飼育,ワサビ栽培が行われる。関金温泉は放射能泉で,40〜60℃。養老年間の発見といわれ,白金ノ湯として古来有名。また大山隠岐(だいせんおき)国立公園の蒜山の観光基地。2005年3月倉吉市へ編入。97.65km2。4323人(2003)。
