Democrat Party - Minshutou (English spelling) min zhǔ dǎng pài

Japanese: 民主党派 - みんしゅとうは（英語表記）mín zhǔ dǎng pài

In China, a group of weak political groups that did not belong to either the Kuomintang or the Communist Party, and mainly opposed one-party dictatorship and advocated Anglo-American democracy. During the Anti-Japanese War, they advocated a national united front, and were relatively more critical of the Kuomintang, which continued its one-party dictatorship. There were over 40 groups in this group (as of 1946-47), but many of them were fringe. The most representative groups were the China Youth Party, the Third Party (later the Peasants and Workers Democratic Party), the National Socialist Party (later the Democratic Socialist Party), the National Salvation Party faction, the Vocational Education faction, and the Village Construction faction.

中国で国民党，共産党のいずれの側にも属さず，おもに一党独裁に反対して，英米式民主主義を唱えた弱小政団群。抗日戦争中は民族統一戦線を主張し，相対的には一党独裁を続けた国民党により批判的であった。その政団政派は四十数団体(1946‐47年段階)を数えるが，泡沫的なものも少なくなかった。代表的なものには中国青年党，第三党(後の農工民主党)，国家社会党(後の民主社会党)，救国会派，職業教育派，郷村建設派など3党3派がある。
