In a wireless transmitter, signal components that appear outside the output signal of a frequency band theoretically determined by a specified modulation signal and modulation method. When these are radiated into space from the transmitter itself or through an antenna, they are called spurious radiation. In addition, normal receivers can sometimes receive signals other than the specified receiving signal, and the sensitivity of such reception is called spurious sensitivity or spurious response, and the lower this is, the less susceptible the receiver is to interference.
