Prater

…Every year from May to June, the city celebrates its "Vienna Festival Week" with a spectacular array of music, theater, and exhibitions. On the left bank of the Danube Canal lies the Prater, a former hunting ground for the emperor. Part of the Prater is an amusement park with a 64m-high observation car, the Riesenrad, and is affectionately known as the "Wurstelprater" (Fig. 1, Fig. 2).
