Funds position - Shikin position (English) Bank's reserve position

Japanese: 資金ポジション - しきんポジション（英語表記）bank's reserve position

This refers to the total of a bank's call loans, bills purchased, loans to financial institutions, and bank acceptances minus the total of call money, bills sold, and borrowings (including loans from the Bank of Japan). It shows the state of a bank's deposits, loans, and securities. When the growth in loans and securities is higher than that of deposits, external debt must be taken in, but this state is said to have a worsening capital position, and the opposite is said to have improved. 銀行のコールローン，買入手形，金融機関貸付金，銀行引受手形の合計からコールマネー，売渡手形，借入金 (日本銀行借入れを含む) の合計を控除した金額をいう。銀行の預金と貸出し，有価証券がどのような状態になっているかを示す。預金に比べて貸出し，有価証券の伸びが高い場合は外部負債を取入れなければならないが，このような状態を資金ポジションが悪化したといい，この逆を改善したという。 (→ポジション指導 )
