Cape Nosappu is a cape at the tip of the Nemuro Peninsula in eastern Hokkaido. It belongs to Nemuro City. It is the easternmost point of Hokkaido, facing the Habomai Islands of the Northern Territories across the Goyomai Strait. The name of the place comes from the Ainu word "Nosham" (a kotan located next to the cape). It is composed of rough-surfaced dolerite that intruded into sedimentary rocks of the Cretaceous Period of the Mesozoic era. The Cape Nosappu Lighthouse stands on a terrace 20 meters above sea level, and the nearby Cape Park is home to the "Bridge of Four Islands" established by the Northern Territories Return Movement, as well as the House of Nosappu, the Northern Hall, and the Products Museum.
