Located in Kokufu-cho, Tottori City. Enshrining Takeuchi Sukune no Mikoto. Date of foundation unknown. In 848 (Kasho 1), it was awarded the rank of Junior Fifth Rank and ranked as an official shrine, later being promoted to Shosanmi in 878 (Gangei 2). Under the Engi system, it was Myojin Taisha, and later Inaba Province Ichinomiya. From the Middle Ages onwards, it was revered by samurai, and in the early modern period, the feudal lord Ikeda clan revered it and donated 30 koku of sacred land to it. Under the Meiji system, it became a Kokuhei Chusha. The annual Shinko Festival on April 21st features a procession of warriors, a dance of slaves, and an offering of the Kirin Shishimai (a prefectural designated intangible folk cultural property) unique to the region. Kamegane-no-Oka, behind the main shrine, is said to be a sacred place where the deity left his shoes behind when he descended to the region.
