Sasa [town] - Saza
A town in Kita Matsuura County in the center of the Kita Matsuura Peninsula in northern Nagasaki Prefecture. Bordering the north of Sasebo City, it was a coal mining town, but the mines were closed due to the economic downturn. There are areas prone to landslides. In recent years, it has become a commuter town for Sasebo City. The Matsuura Railway runs through the town. 32.27 km2 . Population 13,599 (2010).
