Cup (English) KOPF
Abbreviation of Federacio de Proletaj Kultur-Organizoj Japanaj, the Esperanto name of the Japan Proletarian Cultural Federation. Founded in 1931 by 12 proletarian cultural movement groups under the leadership of the illegal Communist Party, with NAPF as its parent organization. Kurahara Tadahito, Nakano Shigeharu, Kobayashi Takiji, Miyamoto Kenji and others played a central role, and the group included the Japan Proletarian Writers' League, the Institute of Proletarian Science, theater people, artists, musicians, filmmakers, photographers, Esperantists, atheists, educators, and birth control groups. They established the Kopp Council at the center, and set up a secretariat and publishing office under it. In addition to the journal "Proletarian Culture," they published "Working Women" and "Friends of the Masses." It was destroyed in 1934 due to oppression.
