Saonetsuhiko - Saonetsuhiko

Japanese: 槁根津日子 - さおねつひこ
Saonetsuhiko - Saonetsuhiko
He appears as a guide in the story of Emperor Jimmu's eastern expedition in the Kojiki, and is said to be the ancestor of the Yamato no Kuni no Miyatsuko. In the Nihon Shoki, he is given the name Uzuhiko, and later Shiinetsuhiko. When Emperor Jimmu set out east from Hyuga by sea, he met a man fishing on a turtle's back at Hayasui-no-to (Hoyo Strait). When asked, the man replied that he knew the sea routes well, so he was invited on board and was able to sail east across the Seto Inland Sea as a guide. It is said that he was later appointed as a Yamato no Kuni no Miyatsuko for his achievements.
