A large-scale rebellion (1456-1458) by the Ainu of Ezochi against the Wajin (Shamo). It was triggered by the flight of the Ando (Ando) clan, whose base was Tosaminato on the Tsugaru Peninsula, to Ezochi (1443), and the deepening conflict with the Wajin after their invasion. Ten of the "Twelve Castles in Southern Hokkaido," including Shinori Castle, a Wajin base in the southwestern part of Ezochi (present-day southern Hokkaido), fell into the hands of the Ainu at one point. The battle ended when the guest general Takeda Nobuhiro (the ancestor of the Matsumae clan), said to be from Wakasa, defeated the father and son of Koshamain, the chief of eastern Ezo, but after this Takeda Nobuhiro became the son-in-law of Kakizaki Sueshige, the guardian of Kaminokuni, and inherited the Kakizaki family. 蝦夷地(えぞち)のアイヌが起こした大規模な和人（シャモ）に対する蜂起（1456年−1458年）。津軽半島の十三湊(とさみなと)を本拠としていた安東（安藤）氏の蝦夷地への逃亡（1443年），侵入後深まった和人との対立が原因で起こり，蝦夷地南西部（現在の道南地方）の和人根拠地の支苔（志濃里）(しのり)館など〈道南十二館〉のうち10館が一度はアイヌの手におちた。若狭(わかさ)出身と伝える〈客将〉武田信広（松前氏の祖）が蝦夷地東部の首長コシャマイン父子を討ち戦はおわったが，このあと武田信広は〈上ノ国守護〉蠣崎(かきざき)季繁の女婿となって蠣崎家を継ぎ，信広の子孫は和人支配地の〈三守護職〉の権能を一手に掌握，やがて松前藩を成立させた。→シャクシャインの戦
