A collection of canon law compiled around 1140 by the Camaldoli monk Johannes Gratianus (?-c. 1160) of Bologna. The Gratian Decrees are the common name for the collection, and its full name is the Concordia discordantium canonum. The book is divided into three parts, and contains about 4,000 legal texts taken from the Bible, council resolutions, papal decrees, patristic documents, Roman law, etc., arranged by theme and chronological order.
