This is a Tokiwazu-bushi and Shinnai-bushi piece. According to the Tokiwatane, the Tokiwazu-bushi version was performed as a celebratory piece on the seventh anniversary of the death of the first Tokiwazu Mojitayu on February 1, 1787 (Tenmei 7), when a ceremony was held to celebrate the succession of the name of the second Tokiwazu Mojitayu by his senior disciple Kanetayu. There is no record of the piece being performed before this in the Tokiwatane, so this is thought to be its first performance. The composition was likely the first Tobaya Satonaga and the second Kishizawa Shikisa. The lyricist is unknown. It is choreographed by each school as a celebratory piece for the simple dance. In the third verse of the Noh play Okina, the third verse states that the most auspicious person in the world is Chitose's son Tokuhito, and names ten of his children, including Otoyo and Kesayo.
