A testing device that classifies types of color vision deficiencies and determines their severity. The Nagel method, which applies spectral mixing, is well known. When the subject looks through the peephole, they see a circular field of vision divided into upper and lower halves, with the upper half seeing a mixture of monochromatic red and green light from the spectrum, and the lower half seeing monochromatic yellow light, with only the brightness varying. The upper and lower colored lights are adjusted by turning the screws on both ends to make the color tones equal. This equal state is called Rayleigh equality. The yellow has a constant wavelength and only the brightness varies, while the mixture ratio of red and green varies. When the upper and lower colors are equal, the amount of red and green determines whether the color is normal or abnormal, and if it is abnormal, the type and degree of abnormality are also determined.
