Garbha Griha - Garbha Griha

In Bengal and Orissa, it is also called deul. The central shrine of the deity is called garbha-gṛha (meaning womb room), and usually faces east and has an entrance only at the front. A pradakṣiṇā-paṭha (circumambulation path) is often built around the garbha-griha.
