Ganshiko - Ganshiko

Japanese:
Ganshiko - Ganshiko

A scholar from the early Tang Dynasty in China. His pen name was Chu. During the Zhenguan era under Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, he participated as a secretary in the cultural projects carried out by the dynasty, such as the collection and revision of books, especially the revision of the texts of the Five Classics to create a definitive edition of the Five Classics Zhengyi, and the compilation of the Sui Shu. His main work, the annotations to the Book of Han, is a compilation of annotations by various scholars since the reigns of Fuqian and Ying Shao in the Later Han Dynasty, and inherited the achievements of his grandfather Yan Zhitui and especially his uncle Yan Youqin in the family school of Chinese classics. This is why Yan Youqin is sometimes called Little Yan, while Yan is called Big Yan. His other works include notes on the Kyushuhen and Kyobyuseizoku, which can be considered notes on grammar and phonology.
