A foundation established for the purpose of providing welfare and support to students. Founded as the Mobilized Student Aid Association during the war, it provided work-related disaster relief and educational guidance to students and pupils mobilised to munitions factories and other places. After changing into the Working Student Aid Association, it was renamed the Student Aid Association in 1947. It has established student counselling centres and student halls in major cities across the country.
