...The Amagi Pass is called the Seven Ri Toge Pass, and originally it passed through the Shinyama Pass on the southern slope and the Furutoge Pass, but later it changed to the route from Sotaro to Nakagyo, and from Okawabata to Nihonsugi Pass, and in 1905 a 446m-long tunnel was opened. In 1970, the Amagi Tunnel (800m long), a toll road running almost parallel to National Route 414 (Shimoda Kaido), was completed, and the old road became a tourist trail called the Odoriko Line. From the pass to the east is the ridge of the Amagi mountain range, which continues to Haccho Pond, Shirata Pass, and Manjiro-dake, and to the west a traverse route stretches from Nekogoe Volcano to the Amagi Breeding Farm. ...
