Japanese: アジュベ,A. - あじゅべ
Ajube, A. - Ajube

[Modern to contemporary]
With the rise of national consciousness, Serbian artists such as Krstić and Paja Jovanović (1859-1957) painted Serbian folklore and history, while Croatia had artists such as Bukovac and Celestin Medović (1857-1920). Slovenia's Anton Ažbe (1862-1905) opened an art school in Munich, and from the end of the 19th century to the 20th century, he influenced a wide range of Slavic artists, including Russian painters Kandinsky, Jawlensky, and Igor 'Grabari' (1871-1960). Among his pupils were the Slovenian impressionist painters Rihard Jakopič (1869-1943), Matija Jama (1872-1947), Ivan Grohar (1867-1911), and Matej Sternen (1870-1949), as well as the Serbian expressionist painter Nadežda Petrović (1873-1915).
