Sasakawa Imperial Palace

Japanese: 篠川御所 - ささがわごしょ

This refers to the political institution established by the Kamakura government to govern the Oshu and Ushu provinces during the Muromachi period, and its head, Ashikaga Mitsutada. In 1399, Kamakura kubo Ashikaga Mitsukane dispatched his younger brothers Mitsusada and Mitsunao to Inamura, Iwase County, Mutsu Province (present-day Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture) and Sasakawa, Asaka County, Mutsu Province (present-day Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture), respectively, and used them as bases for governing the two provinces. → Inamura Imperial Palace
